At Poulsbo Pet Club, we’re proud to offer the C.L.A.S.S.® Canine Life and Social Skills program, developed by the Association of Professional Dog Trainers as a positive, reward-based training curriculum designed to help you and your dog master real-world manners and strengthen your bond.
C.L.A.S.S.® is structured like a school for dogs, with four fun and progressive levels:
H.S. High School Level – For dogs just beginning formal training. Focus on the basics: sit, down, wait, recall, leash walking, and appropriate greetings. This level ensures a strong foundation before moving on to higher skills.
B.A. Bachelor’s Level – Expands foundation behaviors to everyday life. Dogs learn to practice impulse control, exhibit calm behavior at home, and display polite leash skills around distractions, including sitting, waiting
at doors, and maintaining calm greetings while walking on leash.
M.A. Master’s Level – Builds reliability around mild distractions, improving focus and impulse control in everyday environments.
Ph.D. Doctorate Level – Advanced training for real-world scenarios, such as public outings, busy spaces, and complex distractions.
At Poulsbo Pet Club, we’re proud to offer the
AKC Canine Good Citizen™
program, which provides a perfect framework for training your dog to become a polite member of society. CGC classes will help you and your dog learn the 10 skills in the program. You can polish off these skills at home or in the backyard, and when you’re ready, you can take the test administered in person by our AKC CGC certified trainers.
