We have been taking our Golden Retriever to Poulsbo Pet Club for almost a year now, we will be customers for life! 10/10.
We moved out of Poulsbo but still make the 30 min drive to them because they are so great with our old girl. We love Poulsbo Pet Club! 🩷
I've been a fan for a long time. My pup gets a one-on-one appointment all to himself, and I get the call that he's ready in about an hour!
The American Kennel Club believes that grooming safety and education is a top priority. At Poulsbo Pet Club we also recognize the importance of proper grooming for the health, well-being and overall comfort of dogs. The AKC has specifically designed its AKC S.A.F.E Safety, Assurance, Fundamentals, Education Grooming Program to support the grooming industry’s self-regulation effort through education. Our commitment to our craft, clients, and community continues with education and setting the standard in groom safety.
Pet Tech® Training is dedicated to the important skills of life saving care for over 20 years. Certification training with CPR, first aid skills, dental and senior care as well as many other aspects of health and wellness for your pet.
With our Fear Free Salon program, our groomers are trained and empowered to greatly reduce pets’ stress, just as veterinarians are
Poulsbo Pet Club has taken The Dog Gurus Safety Pledge. This means we made a commitment to design and operate our daycare program for the safety of all dogs. We strive to ensure the physical safety of each dog with a goal for every dog to go home behaviorally and emotionally better than when they arrived.
Knowing Dogs 101 (Dog Language) provides all dog handlers in any dog related industry (daycare workers, groomers, walkers, vet techs, kennel staff, dog trainers, etc.) with a fundamental understanding of canine body language to help staff understand what message the dog is conveying and to keep dogs less stressed and safe.
Knowing Dogs 201 (Group Play) builds upon the foundation of knowledge introduced in 101. 201 provides dog daycare employees with a deeper understanding of canine body language when dogs are in group play, how human leadership impacts dogs, dog aggression, and greetings.
Poulsbo Pet Club is proud to be affiliated with the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT), a leading organization dedicated to advancing the dog training profession. As members, we uphold APDT's commitment to science-based training methods, positive reinforcement, and ethical standards. This affiliation reflects our dedication to providing the highest quality care and training for your pets, ensuring that our team stays informed about the latest industry practices and innovations. At PPC, we strive to create enriching experiences for both pets and their owners, promoting strong, healthy relationships through effective training and compassionate care.
The AKC Canine Good Citizen™ (CGC) program provides a perfect framework for training your dog to become a polite member of society. Based on you and your dog’s training needs, you have multiple options to get started.
You can teach your dog the 10 CGC skills yourself, work with our CGC trainer, or attend a CGC training class where the test is given at the end of graduation.

HEALTHCARE GUIDELINES AND REQUIREMENTS
While guests are in our care, they will be in contact with other pets. Please note that many different airborne strains of viruses cause tracheobronchitis, also known as canine infectious respiratory disease complex or “canine cough.” While vaccinating yearly helps support immunity to some strains, it does not support immunity to all airborne strains, nor can it completely eliminate the risk of developing tracheobronchitis. This is not due to any circumstance or condition at our facility, and owners must agree that Poulsbo Pet Club is not liable for any illness suffered by the guests during or after their stay, including, but not limited to, tracheobronchitis.
Poulsbo Pet Club will not be held responsible for any allergic reactions suffered by the guest.
Owner certifies any and all allergies and other health conditions that their pet has been communicated to staff upon check-in.
Poulsbo Pet Club reserves the right to refuse to accept a guest if it appears to us that the guest is sick, shows the presence of fleas, or their behavior could jeopardize the health and safety of other guests and our staff.
Guests showing symptoms of diarrhea, vomiting, coughing, and/or sneezing will not be accepted into Poulsbo Pet Club. These symptoms may be easily spread to other guests. If your pet has any of these, please get in touch with your veterinarian for treatment and keep your pet at home until symptom-free.
LODGING INFORMATION
Poulsbo Pet Club provides all lodging guests with everything needed for a luxurious and relaxing stay. You are welcome to bring your pet and other belongings that might make their stay more comfortable, such as a T-shirt. Please refrain from bringing anything valuable, sentimental, or irreplaceable. We do offer special treats for a nominal fee.
Many upgrade services are available for guests' enjoyment, including private nature walks, cuddle time, a Fitness Club, services at Valholl Spaw, nutrition-filled Kong, and much more! When booking your reservation, please talk to a staff member for more information.
GERIATRICS AND SPECIAL NEEDS GUESTS
At Poulsbo Pet Club, we offer exceptional care designed for older guests, medically dependent guests, and guests recovering from surgery/illness.
We are equipped to care for most pets with medical conditions. At check-in, the owner certifies that all conditions, including seizures, are acknowledged.
RAINBOW POLICY
We require all pets 10 years of age or older to sign our Rainbow Policy. This policy is a precautionary protocol for our guests to assist us in following their wishes in the unlikely event their beloved pet passes away while in our care. If your pet is over 14, please speak to management about how to best care for it while it is staying. Older pets with special needs may need to be boarded closer to our staff based on the facility's availability.
